What is the flexi fly and drive?

The flexi fly and drive program gives you the freedom to explore Cuba your own way. You make your own schedule and decide in which hotel you stay. Take your time exploring the colonial cities, tropical beaches and spacious parks.

How does the flexi fly works?

The flexible fly drives and has a minimum of 6 nights and 6 days of car hire.

What's included?

  • Accommodation in double or single rooms according to hotel list.
  • Unlimited mileage for all cars.

What is not included?

  • Insurance.
  • Deposit guarantee.
  • Gas.

Car rental terms and conditions:

  • The comprehensive insurance (CDW) in CUC 20.00 per car per day, covering total or partial theft, collisions, overturning, damage caused by natural disasters, accident, car damage and third party risk.
  • Deposit credit card. Rex accepts Visa, Mastercard.
  • Cars come with a full tank. Customers are only charged for fuel used: CUC 10.00 per eighth of a tank. Total value of a full tank: 80.00 cuc.
  • Only the persons mentioned in the lease are allowed to drive. Rex Charge for additional drivers.
  • Rex requires that drivers have a minimum age of 21.
  • The client must present your passport and driving license.
  • The client, hereinafter referred to as the tenant must return the car in the same condition you received.
  • Rex take all necessary precautions to ensure the perfect car technical condition, and therefore not responsible for any defect or by the unforeseen consequences of such failure.
  • The tenant will have full responsibility for the following types of abuse:
    • Payment of transporting people or goods.
    • The wheel of another vehicle or trailer without Rex's permission.
    • The racing, speed or resistance.
    • The use of the vehicle by unauthorized persons.
    • The transportation of flammable or explosive materials.
    • The use for illegal activities.
    • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medicines, etc.
  • The tenant shall not change or alter in any way the car's exterior and interior. Maintenance and repair may only be made by rex or the parties designated by Rex.
  • The tenant is responsible for the use of proper fuel type.
  • The tenant agrees to pay Rex: all additional charges, including insurance costs, fuel, etc. A maximum deductible of 3,000.00 cuc if unsafe. A 150.00 CUC deductible for any damage in the case of insurance. Deducted all charges for driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medicines, etc.
  • In case of accident or theft, the tenant must: notify the police immediately. Fill out the claim for damages and notify Rex. Take all possible security measures to prevent further damage to the car.
  • Insurance is mandatory and can be paid in the car rental office in Cuba.
  • The security deposit is required and can be paid on the car rental office in Cuba.
  • Fuel costs are charged to customers.
  • Any violation of traffic will be a responsibility of the customer.
  • The car must be returned in the same condition it had at the time of collection.

Airline tickets to Cuba

Reservations

For all reservations we request a confirmation from Cuba, so we should consider your booking will be confirmed in the next 7 days.

Booking conditions

Our travel proposals are valid for 14 days. After that, we will have the right to adjustment prices.

Reservations and proof of payment

HAVANAcity has prepared a booking form wish you must complete. Once you have submitted the form up to 24 hours after the date of booking you can cancel without compromise.

After booking the trip:

  • HAVANAcity will send will send our reservation to the country by e-mail. In the absence of specific hotel availability, we will propose alternatives to it. It is possible that the price is different and incurs additional charges. Verify that the dates are correct and that all names are spelled correctly. The reservation form gives you an overview of the itinerary and also proof of booking (if made).
  • Hotels and service vouchers will be sent once it is all confirmed and paid to our account. Some vouchers are issued locally and will be delivered by the local agent.

HAVANAcity payment

  • Must be completed electronically through internet banking 8 weeks before departure. If you have less than 8 weeks before departure should send a deposit by the sum of the invoice sent, if we cannot confirm your reservation the full amount will be refunded.
  • Additionally to the price of the reservation we will add an amount of 20 €, per person for local services.
  • The payment of flights, after receiving of the invoice must be made in the next 7 days to the same account because the airlines are also demanding payment from us.

What is not included in our trip to Cuba?

  • Airport taxes, paying the same and are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Car insurance is not included and is an obligatory payment made locally for rental cars of any type, company and class.
  • Check the sites of local interest which range between 2 and 10 € pp.
  • Optional excursions.

Passports, visas and health

  • At the sites on Cuba, you will find all necessary information on passports, visas and health insurance is a prerequisite for their trip. In case you arrive in Cuba without valid insurance, you can buy insurance at the airport.
  • You are responsible for the departure and during the trip in possession of a valid passport and necessary visas. It is necessary to promptly verify the previously obtained information is correct.

Modification by the traveler:

When travelers after booking the trip want to make any adjustments it will be possible depending on the availability and HAVANAcity together with your change requested will have an extra charge of 25 €, - per booking. Besides this any other charges incurred in the cancellation of services and confirmed.

Cancellation by the traveler:

  • The cancellation by the traveler must be submitted in writing or by e-mail.
  • After sending the reservation form, passengers are entitled to cancel without charge until 24 hours after sending the booking form.
  • This right expires if booking less than eight weeks before the date of departure.
  • For each traveler off the amounts are as follows.
  • 24 hours after sending the booking form and at least 56 days before departure, the cancellation will be charged 20% of the tariff with a minimum of 50.00 €.
  • 29 to 55 days before departure date of trip cancellation will be charged 40% of the fare, with a minimum of 50.00 €.
  • 14 to 28 days before the trip date for cancellation will be charged 70% of the tariff with a minimum of 50.00 €.
  • 8 to 13 days before departure date of trip cancellation will be charged 90% of the burden of the tariff.
  • 0 to 7 days before departure: 100% of the fee charged.
